a song made on iPhone…
After I got my iPhone, I’ve been trying to find ways to use it as creatively as possible, and at the same time find where the limits of the iPhone are.
Here’s a song I made on Iphone using Xewton Music Studio – no external samples used, only the default instruments in the software.

Hi, I’m the developer of Xewton Music Studio and this is one of the greatest songs ever created with it! I would like to add it to our library at http://www.xewton.com/apps/xms/library, could you please email me the xms file?

Thanks Alex for your kind words. It’s quite a simple song really (even though it has 13 instrument tracks
). I think many of the songs in the library are really really good when you think of the song structure, but the sound of the instruments is bad – only because they haven’t been fine tuned. I wanted to make the song sound as good as possible when played straight from the software – so to achieve this, I used all the features available for modifying the instrument sounds (volume, attack, release, reverb, delay, pan, amplifier and equalizer). Really nice set of tools by the way.
I don’t know what kind of features you have under development for the next version, but one I definitely miss is a volume envelope for the tracks. This could be controlled in the main track window very much like in Apple Logic.
I guess I’m not able to attach the xms file in the comment, so I will email it to you next.
